It’s no surprise that many of our Chicago team members have lengthy commutes to our office in the Loop. Ask Matt Buse, though, and he’ll tell you his train ride is perfect – how else is he going to fit all his reading in? A self-professed equity wonk, Matt loves any chance to dive into the world of stock analysis.
Matt’s background in two single family offices laid the foundation for his specialization in portfolio management, and he now serves on several teams at Bartlett focused on analysis of our holdings. He also enjoys analyzing alternative investments, which present both unique opportunities and challenges that require careful research.
Matt lives in Elmhurst with his wife, Colleen, and toddler daughter. The Buse family enjoys exploring their community together and cheering on the Bears (despite Matt being a Cincinnati native; his Ohio coworkers may forgive him eventually). Despite having a young family, Matt manages to sneak out to the golf course on occasion. He still plays competitively in local events after having competed for the Dayton Flyers earlier in his career.
